Press Release – National Adult Protective Services Association Celebrates Record Attendance and Advocacy at 2025 Annual Conference in Bellevue
The 2025 NAPSA Conference in Bellevue was one to remember! With 958 registrations and 929 attendees, this year truly brought our theme, Building Partnerships, Inspiring Innovation, to life. The energy and sense of collaboration could be felt in every hallway conversation, workshop, and evening reception.
More than 75% of attendees engaged through the conference app, helping everyone stay connected and make the most of their time onsite. We also introduced NAPSA sweatshirts and pins, and your purchases are helping fund new resources and training opportunities for APS professionals nationwide.
The food received rave reviews—from the variety of meals to the famous fry and dessert bars, which became instant favorites. Attendees shared that they appreciated how inclusive and accommodating meal options were, with thoughtful attention to special dietary needs.
The week opened with DJ Kelly of Puget Sounds, setting a fun and welcoming tone for our Welcome Reception. Later, Kevin Carroll — “The Red Rubber Ball Guy” — reminded us of the power of curiosity, courage, and community, and inspired attendees to reconnect with their purpose.
A special highlight was the appearance by YouTube personality KitBoga, whose engaging presentation brought humor, insight, and a renewed energy to the fight against scams and exploitation.
We’re grateful for the many positive reflections attendees shared, including:
“The overall vibe of this conference is kindness and collaboration.”
“Networking opportunities are one of the best parts of this conference.”
“This was my first NAPSA conference, and I left inspired and supported.”
A heartfelt thank-you to our volunteers, the Washington State planning team, and the vendors who helped make the conference such a success. We also extend our gratitude to our partners and sponsors, whose support allows us to continue advancing APS work across the country—especially our lead sponsors, Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase.
We also want to acknowledge and apologize for the lack of closed captions in early sessions. Accessibility remains a priority, and moving forward, captioning will be standard in all keynotes, plenaries, and workshops. Your feedback helps us grow and create a more inclusive experience for everyone.
To the entire NAPSA community and team—thank you for trusting my leadership to bring this event to life. Your dedication, creativity, and collaboration made Bellevue unforgettable.
We can’t wait to see you in Austin, Texas, for the 2026 NAPSA Conference (November 16–18) and the Financial Exploitation Summit (November 19), where we’ll continue our shared mission: Partnering to Protect—Many Hands, One Mission.
