National Adult Protective Services Association (2003) - A tool designed to help trainers create stronger training curricula by providing formative evaluation criteria. It can also be used to evaluate existing curricula. Tool includes: type of learning involved, target audience, learning objectives, content, organization, training methods, training materials, and post-training evaluation by trainer and participants. Explanatory section is followed by a checklist that can be copied for re-use.

AARP Foundation National Training Project (August 1999) – A comprehensive guide for training participants that enables them to identify their own trainer style, learn training skills and techniques for effectiveness, and addresses conference coordination and training design. Booklet contains lesson materials for 9 sessions. Also included are brief overviews of lesson objectives, time, materials, and resources needed to replicate the lesson. There is a companion “Training of Trainers: Trainer’s Guide,” also available from the NCEA / NAPSA Training Library (ID #3). (Products produced under an AoA grant.)

National Center on Elder Abuse (2001) - This report contains the results of a national survey on elder abuse conducted by the NCEA. The report primarily summarizes data concerning reports of abuse for individuals 60 years of age and older. The National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (NCPEA) and NAPSA, partners of the Center, carried out the project. The University of Kentucky conducted the research for NCPEA.
